A balloon garland is a fun, simple, and modern decorating idea for any event. They are easy to customize, as we can include various color combinations, balloons, and other materials according to the theme of your celebration. As a temporary decoration, they work well in all kinds of event spaces, including your home!
But one challenge many party-hosters face is hanging balloon garlands. With a few simple supplies and a little time, it’s easy to hand balloon garlands anywhere. Keep reading to learn how.
Supplies:
· Command hooks, which will serve as an anchor for your balloon garland. They are temporary and don’t damage the roof.
· Nylon string, cord, or a 270 balloon.
· Thick tape (adhesive or masking).
Procedure to hang it:
1.Choose the space where your garland will be located. If it's a wall, check that it doesn't have any textures or bumps that could cause damage to the balloons. Also, if necessary, clean the surface very well in case it has any traces of dust or dirt.
2. Once the space has been verified, the assembly can be done with the command hooks or with a simple string, depending on whether you want your garland to be suspended from the ceiling or mounted on a wall:
· Suspended from the ceiling: Start by placing the command hooks at the points where you will hang the garland.
· Mounted on the wall: Cut a long piece of string (or grab a 270 balloon), and tape the end with several pieces of tape to the wall to ensure it is secured.
3. Time to place the garland:
· Suspended from the ceiling: Once the command hooks are in place, tie the nylon string (or cord of your choice if you want it also to stand out) on each side of your garland -or as many as are necessary to hang it based on the number of hooks that you placed-, leaving the ideal length according to the height you are looking for; later, tie the free end of each string or cord to a command hook. In this way, the garland will already be attached to the ceiling.
· Mounted on the wall: Since the string (or balloon 270) will already be attached to the wall with the tape, the next step will only be to position the garland and secure it, taking the string (or balloon 270) and passing it through the balloons with several turns, doing “8” movements. Repeat the turns until the garland is firm.
And ready! The room for your celebration will look amazing.
